Mercedes Key Replacement

Mercedes has three types of immobilizer systems currently available in the US dating back to around 1996-2002 with the DAS2 system (originally introduced in Germany as DAS). These vehicles are equipped with an Immobilizer box usually under the dash or behind the instrument cluster and use Transponder Keys. DAS3/FBS3 became the primary system from 1998-2015, using both Transponder Keys and the familiar InfraRed FOB key and EIS Ignition Switch Immobilizer. We can make keys for all these systems, but we do NOT make keys for the new FBS4 2015+ systems. Keys can not be programmed to these vehicles unless you get the keys from the dealer. For all other Mercedes InfraRed key systems made before 2015, simply send us your EIS module (Electronic Ignition Switch)   and we will send you an InfraRed key ready to start the car with full remote functions. No need to send us an existing key. If you need us to generate a mechanical key insert for FBS3 vehicles, you will need to send us an existing cut, mechanical key insert or the door lock cylinder.
